Hair care for bi racial babies?

I have one year old half black, half while twin girls. The have curly hair that is very dry and very easly tangled. Right now I used J%26amp;J shampoo and conditioner for curly hair and detangler spray morning and night with a little bit of coconut oil to keep it from getting so out of control. I was wondering if there was anything I else I can use to keep if from getting so dry and not so tangled. Its too short to put into pony tails or braids yet. And I do not want to put any chemicals into their hair. Thanks

The best product that I have used is Pantene pro V: for women of color. I have been using this on my sons hair since he was a year old, but you have to be careful not to get it in their eyes and then I also leave the conditioner sit in his hair for a long time. I did it twice a week and within a month his hair was looking a lot better. I also found that if I desired I could comb his hair out when the conditioner is in, although it is a lengthy procedure so I only do that about once a month. He is now two and a half and has figured out how not to rub it into his eyes anymore! Anyways, it is an adult product so you might not want to try it, but my boys hair was that bad. I have been very happy with the results however.

what you are using is great try using products which are really moisturing for their hair which you need for dry hair. At the moment thy are only young so there hair shouldnt be so bad although it might get very curly and knotty but as they get older it will be more harder to control. Make sure you use plenty of conditioner and a leave in conditioning/detangler spray.

you should use a light cream and just work it through and that should bring out the curl, my baby is black and asian and thats what i do, heavy grease can drip onto the face and clog the babies pores so a light cream is good, maybe pink lotion or any other cream as long as it has no alcohol and noooo gel ok.

You might wanna get some oil in a can (spray oil sheen) you can get that at your local dollar store or at wal-mart, k-mart, ect. Since they're scalp is so dry what you will probably have to do to keep it moist ( and keep it from tangling and keep dandruf away) you might have to get something like "TCB Hair and Scalp Conditioner". The way you apply it is: you part the hair and put the oil right on the scalp to help eliminate dryness. It will also help to keep the hair from tangling. After applying it over the childs whole head you will want to comb it through and then maybe apply some sort of oil sheen to the hair. You don't wanna put the TCB on the hair because it might weigh it down or make it look too greasy. When the children gets older you might want to take them to a beauty salon and get a relaxer on their hair. What that will do is alternate the texture of their hair to make it easier to comb. But, a lot of people go against that because a relaxer is full of harmful chemicals. Once you put the relaxer on you will have to keep applying it almost every two months (depending on how fast their hair grows). Instead of the relaxer you might just wanna get a flat iron and flat iron their hair to make it straight. If you do flat iron their hair make sure that you put some sort of oil sheen on it first. You don't want to grease it but you do want to apply some sort of oil to protect the hair when you're using such hot materials on it, so the heat won't damage or break the hair off. You don't have to apply oil sheen with a curling iron because a curling iron doesn't really get as hot as a flat iron. That's about all I can tell you. If you have any other questions call a beauty salon that deals with african american hair. They are more professional than I am and they can give you more tips on how to keep the hair from drying out and tangling. The more you deal with African American hair products the more things you will find to help you out with their hair.

Keep it moisturized. You can use a small amount of any kind of conditioner and just comb it through the hair every day or every other day. It will make the hair so much softer.
