I wash my hair everyday and blow dry/straighten?

I have to wash my hair everyday because i have oily hair and if i dont wash it everyday it looks dirty. And i blow dry and straighten but before i blow dry/straighten i spray my hair with the protection spray. What are the consequences if i do this everyday. I have been doing this for the past two years.

If you have been doing this everyday to your hair for the last two years and your hair is still fine, you are okay to continue.

they say if you wash your hair everyday it damages it, you'll lose all the natural oils in your hair that is good for you. but since you said that you've been doing it for the pass two years and your hair is fine, well i guess you can continue doing it

I do the same as you with my hair, it looks so greasy if i dont wash it.

I started washing it everyday about 1 year ago and my hair isnt in bad condition.

Just make sure you keep on using protection spray and condition it regularly.

When you think about it, even though your washing it everyday, its getting conditioned everyday so...

Your hair is going to be damaged as the years go by..

Use clarifying shampoos for oily hair, and make sure you rub it into your scalp well. Perhaps that'll help with the oilyness, but if it doesn't, let it dry naturally most of the time. You'll kill/fry your hair if you don't =[

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

well you should ocasionally take a day off of straightening but washing your hair every day isn't actually bad unless you already have very dry hair. but if you have enough oil in your hair that you need to wash it every day then you will be just fine. i also wash and blow dry/straighten my hair every day. but remember to take a day off of straitening sometimes.
